Home and Garden

This page has nothing at all to do with dogs....amazing .................

We bought a new home in Dec of 2006. We fell in love with the rustic style and unique features of the log home, after researching these types of homes we decided to go for it and purchased the home. The up side of things is I love it 100%, the downside was the yard, which is 2 acres was totally unimproved. When we bought the house it was December so of course we had all the pretty snow, once spring thaw came about I knew I had to do something.

Winter Photos ( moving was a huge pain but you could slide box's on the ice haha ). We finished off the basement with new carpet and I just happened not to have any rustic furnishing <wink> so we just ad to go shopping for some. Probably the biggest concern and challenge was what to do with the dogs. I kept my other home which had a nice indoor/outdoor kennel set up, and I did leave the dogs there for about 3 weeks while we put in a new kennel building and ordered kennel runs for the new house, after which we housed them in insulated dog houses because to pour concrete at that time was impossible to do.

Inside Photos

The upstairs is decorated in a rustic western theme, I love yard sales and flea markets because you can pick up very interesting and unique items, I am far from done with decorating, we have added window treatments after a frustrating search for the right ones, and now I am left with the task of rugs, which I am stumped on. Downstairs we have decorated in a more country type theme, cool olive colors on the floor and I found a very comfortable although I don't know if I would say beautiful, family room set, still have one who room empty which I am planning on turning into a gaming room with a pool table ! Cant wait for that, more photos will be added soon.
